WampServer

Just installed on XP but when i try to start wamp5 nothing happens? anybody have any ideas? would Norton do anything to stop it?

any other webserver running?

I don't believe so.. however i may have tried to install them in the past .. what should i look for? there's nothign showing up in my icon tray so i imagine if anything they might be runningn in the background .. ?

which page opens on taking [localhost] on browser. if default and if wamp is working fine it should show the wamp page with details of installation

If you use skype, it'll interfere with Apache. They both use same ports, so you can't have skype running while using wamp.

or you can change the port apache uses to 81 and you wont have any problems.

i tried to run it with skype turned off but on success!

ok.. think i've got it sorted.. seemed to have quite a few things running that removed.. and fingers crossed all cool.. many thanks guys for your help...
