Hi, neewbie here.

I have searched the site for an answer to my question but no luck, hence this post.

I have installed WAMP and now want to be sure everything is running ok, before setting off on the task of development.

I have all instances of the servers running on Win XP Pro, the localhost intial page loads with the information of the server and the versions etc. So I assume PHP works.

The PHP and MySQL admin programs seems to work fine. I can create a new database etc through this program.

Now for MySQL, I would like a simple page to test the database with PHP from the browser, to ensure I do actually have connectivity. Then I can concentrate on the development of my project rather than wondering if the environment is working correctly.

Thanks for your advice.

if phpmyadmin is working, then mysql is working. phpmyadmin is a php script developed to make it easier to admin your mysql server
