. Wamp Menu Up.: [www.grupoelite.com.br]
--- For Developement of Addons, Update Wamp5 Menu (Low Utility)
. Wamp MySQL Chg.: [www.grupoelite.com.br]
--- Change betwen MySQL5 and MySQL4
. Script IniX: [www.grupoelite.com.br]

. Script PhpX: [www.grupoelite.com.br]

Yes, but you need have MySQL5 and MySQL4, then your create a folder named mysql (mysql5 renamed) and myqsl4 (mysql4 named).
See the text file to more info.

When it is possible, yes it would be great......
I'm building serveral websites also for others. My own host is sometimes using other php and mySQL dan the one of people I'm building for.

And the latest version has the option to set the server online/offline. That option is great for me because I can let people see the things I am doing for them and after that closing ther server again.

I do not know if it's lots of work to you because I ve no budget I can use, I can't pay you for it I mean. So if you can do it for free it would be great, else just thank you for your time till now

Greetings

web-M

Hi,

I'm extremely interested in your mysql switcher - i made a post asking for this just 3 days ago!

What i would like is to be able to switch between mysql 3.23, 4, and 5. Is this possible with your add-on? Does it work from the wamp menu - like a "MySQL" menu with submenus for each installed mysql version?

Thanks.

David,

Can I choose which other version of MySQL I want to use next to de standard in WAMP5.

for example can I choose mySQL 4.023 or 3.23 Or is the add-on for a specific one.

And second How do I have to implant de second version of mySQL in wamp? do I download a previous wamp version and do I have to cut out and copy mySQL of that version into the latest release of WAMP5? Or do I have to do something else?

You need use a version A how mysql5 and version B how mysql folders.

Example:
MySQL 4.023 = ./mysql5/ <-- Secondary
MySQL 3.23 = ./mysql/ <-- Default

is this?

I don't want to sound ungrateful or pushy, but when you will rewrite this add-on to allow the developer to switch between multiple mysql versions? How soon will it be available? It's exactly what i'm after, and in my opinion, should be distributed as part of the core wamp installation.

Good galley, I am going to try to do what do you want, but, if I really is going to do, I am going to put a system for MultiMySQL (more of 2, 3, 4..) would be a plan of automatic recognition of the MySQL, would have a paste where would stay everybody they registered. Alone that the problem is that for recognize each a necessary one of the MD5 of each version, then I am going to provide a file in PHP for GENERATE a MD5 regarding each version, and I expect that you, users sends this information for I even (when I will do the file) with the version of the MySQL for put in the system.

Bye, David
Next post, the php file.

Hey just thought i'd tell anyone interested in this addon that its a great addon and works great. I'm not sure but i think you need to use the mysql distribution that doesn't have the mysql installer in it. If you use the one with the installer it will proablly overwrite your settings that are set to make wampserver work corectly and your mysql5 installation. I think that this may be why some people are having problems installing this addon maybe. And also make sure the directory you put the files for mysql4 in a subdirectory of your wampserver installation named mysql4. With the newest release of wampserver mysql5 is in the directory mysql so it doesn't need renamed as the instructions say for the addon. Once you have done everything in the install readme for this addon make sure you restart your computer or wampserver to make sure that your changes have taken effect.
I was able to install this addon first try and I think i got lucky so wanted to add some installation tips for everyone else

Thanks a lot for this cool addon David. I will be checking out your other addons real soon.

I find that I am not going to create a new one MySQL Changer, the motive is, I am without time, without patience and still I should think of a logic for do not occur these problems said above.

Sorry, David
