WampServer

Hello,

I am running Wampserver 3 (x64) on Windows Server 2016 (64-bit).
Until last month everything worked fine – I have installed multiple PHP versions, including 8.3.25 and even 8.4.12, and they work perfectly on Server 2016.

However, when I try to install the new addons PHP 8.3.26 or PHP 8.4.13, the installer immediately fails with this error:

"This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running."

So it looks like the new addon installers refuse to run on Windows Server 2016, even though the PHP binaries themselves are still compatible (previous versions work normally).

Is this an intentional change in the installer (minimum Windows version requirement), or is it a bug?
Can you please confirm if support for Windows Server 2016 has been dropped in the new PHP addons?

Sorry, but the the minVersion is now :
10.0.17763 Windows 10 Version 1809 (October 2018 Update) or Windows Server 2019

But why? Windows Server 2016 is still supported until January 2027 – that’s almost 1.5 years away.

All files on https://wampserver.aviatechno.net/ now support Windows 10 Basic.
If you still find a file that has a higher limit than Windows 10 basic, please let me know.
