WampServer

Hi dear members.
I read about the virtualhost and that we may use a project folder for our work.
I didn't made a subfolder for my work, but i would like to try it ONLINE. I have noticed that in the subfolder of www root directory the projects can be hosted, but i cant get it work from the root directory. Can it be made or i'm just wasting my time.
I have wampserver 3.3.7 installed.
I know that the older version worked this way. Maybe is it still possible with this version to host from www/

Hi,

To set up a VirtualHost "online" you absolutely need :
- Fixed IP
- External DNS server

A VirtualHost can be anywhere! Even on another partition. Just enter the path in DocumentRoot and Directory

Hi. Thanks for responding.
As i wrote, the subdirectory can be accessed from online, but i would like to be accessible the root directory www. If i try to access it says access is forbidden. I can't make it accessible from online. I have tried every settings in httpd.conf and httpd-vhost.conf but something still blocking. Maybe somebody with more experience knows some advanced settings.

I've never tried it and I wouldn't really do it for safety reasons.
