Hi, I have a problem.
I have two computers in local network, equipo1 and equipo2.
equipo1 has installed WAMP, and equipo2 is the computer I work with programs of design and program my webs.
I don't know how I can see my webs in the equipo1 out of my local network, with another computer.
I have a router and switch connect bettwen equipo1 and equipo2.
How I can see thw webs from others computers?
I write in the URL my ip, but doesn't work.
Any idea?
Thanks

Do you see your php welcome page in equipo2 when you type as follows?
[localhost]
[127.0.0.1]
[ip_of_equipo1] (not your web ip)
Try it then post back here.
EDIT:
You might need to enable port forward in your router and firewall. Port 80 for web http, 21 for ftp, and mail server needs 3 ports which are 25 for SMTP, 110 for POP3, and 143 for IMAP4, so on.
Hope this help.

Glad to help.
By the way, to access your sites worldwide, all you need is a domain and DNS service, and of course, configure Virtual Host in wamp/apache2/conf/httpd.conf.
For dns, you can find some free service like dyndns.org, zoneedit.com, so on, I personally use zoneedit. For domain, you can find cheap domain or even free; I personally go for Yahoo with only $3/yr up to 5 yrs, so total $15/5yrs, or if you prefer free domain, check [www.dot.tk]. For VH, you can search some good old posts in this forum or just make up a new post.
Hope this help

This is a little off your subject, but still related.
Recently I was trying to buy the $15/5yrs domain from Yahoo Small Business, but I couldn't find it anymore (it has become $3 for first year only, then $8 or so). Is the offer over? Do you still have the link to buy it?

Thank You for Your help.

I buy and sell tons of domain names. Usually when you can find a website with a domain name for a very cheap price, you to buy additional products (such as web hosting) from the them to get that cheap domain name price. well, I have found a site where they sell domains for $2.95 USD, and you do not have to buy anything else to get the domain name for that cheap. If I remember right, you can register up to 50 domains for that price.

Ipower has that price for 1st yr only. From Yahoo! Business, I've bought a domain only for $15/5yrs, no string attached. Check Yahoo! Business again because they just send me an ad recently.
Hope this help.

Thank you very much !
I hope you send it to me soon, because, as I remember, the offer is only for limited time period.
About the domain offer, could we buy more than one domain name from Yahoo ?
Or only one each time Yahoo send You the offer?

Anyway, You know, I'm new to this WAMP, could you give a brief explanation about it ?

Yes, you can buy more than 1 domain even with onsale price, and use VH to setup if having more than one.
After buying a domain, for example buy from yahoo, will get welcome page from yahoo when typing your domain name; then, register for dns to get 2 server names, go back to yahoo to replace those 2 new server names just got from dns, then just patient and wait for it get effective up to 72hrs, and voila, your own welcome page will comes up when typing your domain name. Hope this is the answer for brief explanation you're looking for.
By the way, I suggest that you should not change anything or setup VH before you can see your WAMP welcome page when typing your domain, so you can figure out what and where went wrong if your WAMP welcome page doesn't show up after 72 hrs.
Hope this help

Edit: If you're so excited, you should get a free domain name from dot.tk and use it for testing until Yahoo has domain onsale again.

About dot.tk, you have to check with them, I have no idea at all.
About Yahoo domain promotion, he he..., you might have to wait for a while though; that's why I suggest should test with dot.tk for now.
Hope this help.

Hi Titanical,
I'm not sure if you're still around this forum, but I've just receive a mail from Yahoo Business with Domain on sale for only $2, even cheaper than the last time I've bought mine for $3/yr and total of $15/5yrs.
Hurry up cause this deal might not last long.
Hope this help
