Hi support team
I have wamp running on php7.3.5. As one of the extension need php 7.4 what is the fastest & easiest way to get it. From my reading an addon can do it fast. Can someone lead the way. Thank you.

If there is nothing, then you are using an antediluvian version of Wampserver!
There is a popup with this text:

Add Apache, PHP, MySQL, Mariadb, etc. versions

All "addons", i.e. all installers of Apache, PHP, MySQL or MariaDB versions as well as installers of updates (Wampserver, Aestan Tray Menu, xDebug, etc.) and web applications (PhpMyAdmin, Adminer) are on

Just download the installer files you want and launch them by right-clicking on the name of the downloaded file then "Run as administrator" to have the addon or application added to your version of Wampserver.

Then, changing Apache, PHP, MySQL or MariaDB version is a matter of three clicks:
Left-Click -> PHP|Apache|MySQL|MariaDB -> Version -> Choose version

The version change does not include any parameter changes you might have made, nor does it transfer databases from the old version to the new one.

A much better organized and always up to date repository than Sourceforge exists:

'https://wampserver.aviatechno.net'.

I have been using [wampserver.aviatechno.net] to get addon for php, seem easy enough. Just one question is it true php 7.4 cant be installed in win 7. Any experience Bro?

A priori, PHP 7.4 and even 8.2.5 does not pose any problem on an old version of W7 that I still use.

But isn't it better to try it yourself? It costs four mouse clicks and less than three minutes!

Reason why I ask the Q is I would think php any version should work with Win 7 onwards but when I try the php7.4 addon of techno.net it say it can't be done I win7. Anyway to install another another way [sourceforge.net]

All PHP 7.4.x installers can be run under W7 sp1 :
In the Inno Setup installer
MinVersion=6.1sp1

If it tells you that it is not installable, it means that your W7 is not sp1.

Not to be confused with the warning message that says :

Windows version: x.y.z
Installation under Windows 7 sp1 is allowed
Without guarantee of correct installation.
No guarantee of correct operation.
Windows 7 is obsolete and is no longer supported since January 2020

With wampserver v3.3.0 now via the hands of Ottello, the php 8x versions are exposed. Everything good to do. Thanks team.
