WampServer

Hi,

I need to have PHP 8 on wamp server as I am doing a project needing that PHP version

I am stuck though, I tried many tutorials and tips and wamp does not work as it did before I updated wampserver adding PHP 8

this is the error message that I get from wamp > tools > check for services:

State of services:

The service 'wampapache64' is NOT started
>>> httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 199 of C:/wamp64/bin/apache/apache2.4.56/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load c:/wamp64/bin/php/php8.0.8/php8apache2_4.dll into server: The specified module could not be found. .

The service 'wampmariadb64' is started
Service Session : LocalSystem

WampServer (Apache, PHP and MySQL) will not function properly if any service
'wampapache64'
'wampmysqld64'
'wampmariadb64'
is not started.

all services BINARY_PATH_NAME are OK
all services START_TYPE are OK

How do I fix "The service 'wampapache64' is NOT started" ?

There is no need for any tutorial whatsoever, just read WAMPserver 3 - All you need to know to see what versions of PHP are available for Wampserver !

Adding a PHP version to Wampserver is done in four clicks !

- 1 - Go to https://wampserver.aviatechno.net/

- 2 - Download the desired PHP addon

- 3 - Install this addon as administrator

- 4 - Launch Wampserver then left-click -> PHP -> Version

Hi,

that is what I did and I also updated Apache, MySQL and added MariaDB, updated the Wamp version too and since then wamp server is broken

I can't access localhost either, I tried to switch to a different PHP version but wamp keep having issues
