WampServer

Hi, I have wamp 3.3.1 64 bit with php 7.4.33 and apache 2.4.9 on windows 7.

Wordpress is giving me the error "curl version not available" and "The PHP function CURL is not available on your server, which is required. Please contact your hosting provider."

I checked the php ini in both php bin and apache bin, and both show "extension=curl" uncommented. I also checked through the wamp app and see curl with a checkmark next to it.

I would really appreciate any help I can get.

Hi,

Windows 7 is no longer supported since January 2020.

Apache 2.4.9 is too old to properly support PHP 7.4 and 8.

I was able to update apache to 2.4.551 and after a little work got everything back up and running with no curl error. So that problem is solved.
