php exif extension not work in PHP 8 and 8.1

When I choose PHP version 8 or 8.1 the EXIF module in PHP doesn't work. phpinfo() shows that the module has been loaded, but exif_read_data() cannot be called because it does not exist.

What is the exact and complete error message ?
