Collation fear!

Guys
I am using MySQL 5.7.26 what if I upgrade to 8.##…will the new default collation give problem to old database based on utf8

Hi,

You can try it, it costs nothing!
You just have to export your databases in SQL file from MySQL 5.7.26 and then import them with MySQL 8.x.x

Moreover, this is a question to ask at MySQL.
