Hi folks.
My WAMP is working fine, but I would like the Ae tray menu to start when I start my PC.
If I manually select the Desktop icon it works just fine.
I've tried adding it to the Windows start directory and added it to the "run" in the registry but nothing gets it to start.
Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks

Hi,

Setting the wampapache64, wampmysqld64 and wampmariadb64 services to autostart, even if delayed, is not a good solution and is not sustainable.

Firstly, one has absolutely no control over the order in which the services will start, nor whether they can start before other essential services are started.
Secondly, Apache, PHP, MySQL or MariaDB version changes and other actions inherent in Wampmanager will recreate services without automatic start.

The solution is to use the Task Scheduler and add a task in the Scheduler Library:
-- Tab General
- Name : Wampserver
- Use the following user account to run this task:
- Account Name
- Run with maximum permissions
- Configure for : Windows 10

-- Tab Triggers
- At login
- Postpone task for 30 seconds

-- Tab Actions
- Start a program e:\wamp64\wampmanager.exe

-- Tab Conditions
- Start the task only if the computer is connected to the mains

-- Tab Settings
- Allow the task to run on demand
- Do not start a new instance
