WampServer

Hi

I have a really quick question, I've tried the search feature on here and the troubleshooting tips however couldn't find an answer, I do apologize if this has already been asked

I'm on Windows 10, 64 bit

I changed the browser navigator to the Brave Browser, however I'm getting an error

"Could not execute menu item (internal error) [Exception]
Could not execute run action: Access is denied
Action: Run
Filename: C:\Program Files\Bravesoftware\Brave-Browser\Application
Parameters: [localhost]

I had a look around on the property settings and particularly the security settings for the Brave application and changed all the permissions to allow but it didn't seem to help

This does look like a windows issue but I had a look online through some of the windows forums and couldn't find any solutions, so hoped someone may be able to help?

How exactly did you proceed to change the default browser in Wampserver ?

Hey, thanks for your reply, I changed it in the Wampmanager CONF file, and I changed the navigator line to navigator ="C:/Program Files/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Application/brave.exe"

Are there more areas that I need to change or is this incorrect?

Hi,

I downloaded Brave and installed it "as administrator" and modified the line:
navigator ="C:/Program Files/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Application/brave.exe"
in wampmanager.conf

Then I started Wampserver and asked for localhost in the Left-Click menu.

Brave opened well on the Wampserver home page.

Either you don't have Brave installed as administrator or you have reduced rights on C:/Program Files/

Note : I don't like at all the software, whatever they are, which doesn't give the choice of the installation folder.
