WampServer

Hi,

Wampserver is running green

I've create a database and import all data
Copy the Joomla files inside the folter
change the configuration file of Joomla
I can access localhost and phpmyadmin
I created a virtualhost

if I open the created virtualhost I receive a "can't reach this page"


My hosts file seems Ok


Any help? Thanks in advance.

This is likely to do with how you have configured Joomla and your Virtual Host. Nothing to do with WAMPServer itself.

We would not mind helping, but really you have not given us any information that would allow us to help

Indeed I did a installation in a new folder of a fresh Joomla and it worked just fine.

So I dig a little bit in the installation that I wanted to make local and after a new .htaccess, deleted the cache and disable a plugin that was doing a redirect, finally it's working.

The problem was in the settings of Joomla or a plugin that did a redirect?

Hi, it was this plugin [www.petitpoisson.be]


I believe that the .htaccess was not perfect, so I used the original Joomla 3.x htaccess.txt


But searching in the database I found my "live" domain mentioned in table _extension the "plg_system_domainredirect".

I disabled the plugin, and like I said used the original htaccess.txt and is now working just fine in wamp inside a Virtual Machine.

To be functional, an htaccess file must be named .htaccess yes, with a dot at the beginning of the name and without extension. Any other name makes it non-functional.

Yes for sure, off course I used the "htaccess.txt" but renamed to ".htaccess".
