unable to change apache version - handle is invalid

Team, when changing apache version from 2.4.46b to 2.4.48 via gui. I am receiving this error: "could not execute menu item (internal error) could not perform service action: the handle is invalid".
Running httpd.exe -t says that the syntax is OK. I upgraded wampserver. check_vcredist.exe is saying there are no missing dependancies. Can you advise how to troubleshoot?

Hi,

Try to delete Apache service then recreate it.

Left-Click -> Apache -> Service administration -> Remove service
Left-Click -> Apache -> Service administration -> Install service
Left-Click -> Apache -> Service administration -> Start/Resume service
