changing ports

My host blocks port 80 and 25. When I try to change to, say port 81 or 8080, the main wamp server page will load but not the rest of the pages. I think that I may have to forward from port 80 to the new port #. My point is that I am not sure that I am editing the httpd.config file properly. Is there documentation with the exact instructions on how to do this properly.

Thank you for the great software

if you edited any files, change them back to origional. open your httpd.conf file, and find:
Listen 80

Change to:
Listen 81

now you will have to access localhost with your web browser like this:
[localhost]

to access phpmyadmin:
[localhost]

I am trying to continue to run IIS on my server but install Wampserver also.
I have changed httpd.conf thru wampserver to port 8081 but when I try to install the service it just says that IIS is using port 80 and press enter to continue.
What am I doing wrong?

Not sure if this matters, but I had IIS installed first when I did the wampserver install.
It's a dedicated Windows 2003 machine from godaddy.

Acutally I think Apache is really running, however MYSQL isn't starting.
Is there something in the mysql config to change so it will work?
Thanks
