Have Windows Program call Wamp php script

I have a Windows program that sends and receives a XML file to/from a Server PHP script. For testing i need to duplicate that configuration on my Win 10 PC that houses the win application plus Wamp where the php scrip resides in localhost. The hosts file contains a entry for the server name an it points to my localhost.
I cannot seem to make the connection work and i do not know where to look for trouble shooting.

HELP and thanks in advance

We will always try, but you have to remember we are not clairvoyant. We will need more information than that to be any help.

Specifically lets start with a look at your
- httpd-vhosts.conf file.
- hosts file

Tell us where you have placed this script? Do you have a whole site, or just this one script?
