Can't left or right click on Wamp icon

Hi, this might be something simple but its driving me nuts:

Upgraded from win 7 to Win 10
Installed Wamp 3.2.0
Get a Green Icon in the tray.

All good so far :-) but I can't left or right click on the icon to access the menus within. Any ideas gratefully welcomed.

Cheers.

Hi,

> Installed Wamp 3.2.0
First, the last "full install" version is Wampserver 3.2.3

Second, BEFORE installing Wampserver, did you apply the prerequisites ?

- 1 - Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
Do not use a previously loaded tool. Make a new download to make sure you are using the correct version.
To download missing packages, do not rely on Microsoft links, they are not reliable, download packages on http://wampserver.aviatechno.net in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

- 2 - Verify item 03 and 08 of TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

- 3 - Apply Update 3.2.5 to your version of Wampserver
Wampserver update 3.2.5

Hi Otomatic,

Done a fresh install of Windows 10 and downloaded the files you suggested. Installed wamp 3.2.5 and things are working. :-)

Except the Right or Left click on the little wamp icon that goes from red to orange to green.

Its green in my system tray but I can't get to the submenu's to alter the settings or even exit wampserver?

Still foxed, but thanks for your reply.

Its probably a Windows 10 tweak somewhere :-(

Cheers.

Hi,

Try Aestan Tray Menu update 3.2.3.8 but I don't think it will solve your problem.

You are a very small number of people, who can be counted on the fingers of one hand, who can't get the right or left click on the Wampmanager icon. If we could find the common point, we would have the solution... maybe!

Hi Otomatic,

Thanks for the link but still no luck.

I tried uninstalling wamp 3.2.3 with 3.2.5 update and replaced with wamp 3.1.0 (32bit). and everything works perfect :-) Even the left/right click.

So it looks like the problem with the left/right click in Windows 10 possibly might be a wamp3.2.+ error.

Beats the hell out of me, not a clue ?

But will keep trying to get the 3.2.+ to work on the sys tray.

Cheers.
Steve.

PS: I did notice that the 3.2.+ wamp, when started from the desktop stated it could'nt load php.exe or php-win.exe but still worked ? except for the sys tray.
