Has anyone managed to get mcrypt working for WAMP5 Version 1.6.1??
In my php.ini I have uncommented:
extension=php_mcrypt.dll
and restarted Apache, but i still get the error.
On my hosts linux box, I had to recompile PHP to get mcrypt working. Is this the case for WAMP?? - I hope not!!

you do not have to recompile anything for windows. you install programs on windows, you compile/recompile them on linux.
you will need to download the windows mcrypt binaries to use mcrypt, go here:
