Facing Problems Installing Wordpress

Hi,

I have installed WAMP (v 3.2.0) on local Windows 10 64 Bit Machine with MySQL.

I am trying to install WordPress using MySQL database. First, I created a database using phpMyadmin.

But, when I am trying to install Wordpress it says we can connect to the server but make sure database name is correct or user root has permissions for the database.

I checked both, they are fine but still, it did not install.

Please help. TIA.

Check the port you are using for MySQL

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Windows 10 Pro 64bit) (Wampserver 3.3.4 64bit) Aestan Tray Menu 3.2.5.4
<Apache versions MULTIPE> <PHP versions MULTIPLE> <MySQL Versions MULTIPLE>
<MariaDB versions MULTIPLE> <phpMyAdmin versions MULTIPLE> <MySQL Workbench 8.0.23>

Read The Manuals Apache -- MySQL -- PHP -- phpMyAdmin
Get your Apache/MySQL/mariaDB/PHP ADDONs here from the WAMPServer alternate Repo
-X-X-X- Backup your databases regularly Here is How dont regret it later! Yes even when developing -X-X-X-

Hi,

There is no obligation to use MySQL to install WordPress. You can, without any problem, use MariaDB which is the default database manager with full installations of Wampserver 3.2.0.

If you didn't specify anything in particular, the database you created with PhpMyAdmin was created with MariaDB, so you don't have to specify a port.

If you absolutely want to use MySQL, make it the default database manager:

Right-Click -> Tools -> Invert default DBMS MariaDB <-> MySQL

But, after that, you'll have to recreate your database with PhpMyAdmin

For further explanations, read Right-Click -> Help -> MySQL - MariaDB
