Apache is not running

I just installed the package on my pc (Windows XP) and Apache is not running. When I click on the tab on the tray only the install uninstall service lines are active. Nothing else.

Any help?

Make sure nothing else is using port 80 which is the port apache uses. if port 80 is being used by another program, apache will not start.

Make sure you do not have Skype running, it uses port 80

If you have IIS, it is a web server and uses port 80, so stop or disable it.

Also make sure your firewall is not blocking apache and the use of port 80.

Just search these forums, this question has been asked and answered many many many times already.
