Hi, I have got myself totally lost!!

I wanted to create a new website locally on my computer, and once ready, upload to godaddy using Filezilla.

I downloaded Wampserver, downloaded wordpress from .org, downloaded and installed wordpress theme, designed a new website and now i need to upload. But stupidly I don't know how to find the files to upload. this is what is says in the search [localhost]

I know i probably sound dumb, but i have become stuck and godaddy don't seem to have a clue how to help me.

I know this could be really simple or really hard, but im lost either way and would be eternal grateful for advice.

Jilly

Hi,

For your local sites, you must use VirtualHost, as with all hosting providers. If you do not do this and use a subfolder of localhost, you may have problems transferring to a host.
See The need for Virtual Host and Wampserver 3 - Create or add a VirtualHost

Note: VirtualHost must exist before installing CMS or WEB application.

CMS installation procedures, as well as transfer procedures, are not within the competence of this forum.
You must consult the CMS provider in this case: [codex.wordpress.org]
