I can't access to my site after updating wampserver

Hi,
I updated Wampserver and all the programs. The icon is green and I changed the versions of the databases - I should see the log in page for wordpress when I type localhost on the search engine, but I get this message instead:

Can’t select database
We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the mysite database.

Are you sure it exists?
Does the user root have permission to use the mysite database?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_mysite. Could that be the problem?
If you don’t know how to set up a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.

Please, could anybody explain me what thing I did wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks for your time.

Last time, I did it in the same way and everything worked perfect. In fact, I followed the advise from this forum. I also try to log in to another site and I get this other message:

Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.39 (Win64) PHP/7.3.7 Server at festivals.test Port 80

I have no clue what's happening.

Hi,

Ok, lets start by you telling us what version of WAMPServer you originally had, and then tell us what version of WAMPServer you upgraded to.

Then tell us how you did the upgrade.

I don't remember the last version I had of Wampserver. Is there any way to find out that?
I have now the last one, 3.1.9. 64bit.

I went to [wampserver.aviatechno.net] and under wampserver updates, I clicked the only version available. The other options are under xdebug (no idea what is that). Once downloaded, I run it and it changed to the new version. After that, I just carried on with the rest of programs and before change the version I backed up the database using the export option.

The problem is still actual. I've found a similar request here. I did it in the same way and everything worked perfect.

I don't know. I imagine it's the last one before the 3.1.9. 64bit. Why?

Is there a download history on Wampserver to find out which version was the last, before updating it?

Hi,

Before change Mysql version, you must export your database then import it with the new MySQL version.

Your database is in the MySQL version you use. If you change MySQL version without export/import your database does not exist with the new version.

Hi,
So, are you suggesting me to import my database, I have never done that so, I am not sure how I have to do it. Please, tell me if I am wrong: Left click to the wampserver Icon, then click to PHPmyAdmin and click to the import button. Is that right?
Do I have to do anything else?

Hi,
I tried what I said in my last post and it worked. I don't understand yet why others were asking me what version of Wampserver I had, as the problem it was with the database.

Last time, which was the first time I ever updated Wampserver and the rest of programs, I hadn't this problem. I updated MySQL without then importing the backup database. Probably way lucky or, who knows?

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help.

It worked well with one of my sites but the other it didn't. why?

I thought when I backed up the database it updates all the databases. The other site was empty, I meant, I only downloaded Wordpress and that's it, but I can't access to it. I still get this message:
Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.39 (Win64) PHP/7.3.7 Server at festivals.test Port 80

Any suggestion/piece of advice for the future to avoid situations like that. If I lost the site, should I delete Wordpress for that site and restart again?

Hi

Are you sure that the WordPress version you use supports PHP 7.3.7 ?

I think so, but not sure. If not what should I do? How can I check that?

The version I had for my second virtual host is newer than the first one, which now, after importing the database is working
