How can I upgrade from Wamp 32 to Wamp 64 bit, keeping existing settings?

Hi,

There is no automatic way of doing that.

However you can install the 64bit version on the same machine as the 32 bit version, the 64bit one will install in \wamp64 folder. Stop the 32 bit first.

So first backup all your 32bit wamp databases phpMyAdmin -> Export. Or use whatever tool you like for database backup/

Stop 32 wampserver

Install 64bit, upgrade it to latest version, currently 3.1.8

Make sure it runs.
- at this point you can decide if you want to download any addons so 3.1.8 has the same versions of Apache/PHP/MySQL as your old 32 bit version, or you can use the new versions

Restore your databases to the required MySQL version

Copy your Sites, if they are in \wamp\www\subfolders to the new \wamp64\www\subfolder

Create any Virtual Hosts you had before.

This should mean you have a working 3.1.8 64bit WAMPServer AND you have not destroyed your old 32bit WAMPServer, so you can go back and grab anything you may have missed in the move process

Read The Manuals Apache -- MySQL -- PHP -- phpMyAdmin
Get your Apache/MySQL/mariaDB/PHP ADDONs here from the WAMPServer alternate Repo
