Hi,
This sounds like the Install of MySQL had a problem.
This is normally because one of the MSVC Runtime libraries is not available.
The first dialog from the Install script asks you to check that you have all the MSVC Runtimes install BEFORE continuing with the install.
Did you do thatSee the
bottom of this page, the backup repo for WAMPServer. At the bottom you will find a download that contains all the MSVC Runtimes and also a little utility that will check your system and tell you which are missing.
Please remember to install both the 32bit AND 64bit Runtimes if you are on a 64bit Windows system.
You shoudl install them in Version number order, if one reports it is present use the REPAIR option. This will ensure you have the latest version installed.
You will have to UNINSTALL WAMPServer, make sure the wamp or wamp64 folder is deleted, and then install the MSVC Runtime Libraries.
Once this is complete you can re-install WAMPServer.
