WampServer

Hey,

I created a new virtual host from wamp interface and restarted DNS but it doesn't seems to work.

My windows host file look like this :
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

127.0.0.1 new-loyers-bfv
::1 new-loyers-bfv

And the page is telling me this :

Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)
- 503 error - Your requested host "new-loyers-bfv" could not be resolved by DNS.
Request: GET [new-loyers-bfv]

Why are you using port 8080?

Because the default port is used by another service : Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0

That is IIS

If you are not using it, you can uninstall it.

But it says my administrator disabled the turn on/off feature. Is there another way ?

Is this a work computer Managed by an Administrator?

I actually found a workaround to access the turn on/off windows features but the ISS feature is unchecked.
List of what is checked (translating from french):

- Telnet client,
- TFTP Client
- Tablet PC component
- remote differential compression
- DVD creation windows
- Windows Media Player
- Internet Explorer 11
- Group Strategy Management Tools
- AD DS and AD LDS Tools
- XPS Sevices
- XPS Visioning
- Windows Search

I actually managed to stop all HTTP services by running "NET stop HTTP" in cmd with elevated privilege. But the problem is still the same as the initial problem :

Fixed by renaming {APP_NAME} vhost to {APP_NAME}.localhost . Thanks !
