WampServer

Hi, Im on windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
Just tried to install WAMP and it doesnt work, stays orange and doesnt get green.
It shows 2 out of 3 services running.
When I click on mySQL, it says INSTALL SERVICE, but when I click that, it says the error - MSVCR120.dll missing.

I have followed some tutorials and it asked me to uninstall WAMP server and then install 3 Microsoft addon -

microsoft visual c++ redistributable 2008 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=29), microsoft visual c++ redistributable 2012 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=30679)
microsoft visual c++ redistributable 2015 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=48145)

Then reinstall wamp and it should work fine.


So, I did but same issue and it doesnt work.

I have followed this video as well and tried like it said - [www.youtube.com]

But still nothing works.

Let me know, how to fix this now.

Cannot believe, a simple WAMP server installation takes so much of crap wastage of time.

Here, there is no emergency, you are not on a hot line.

Moreover, this "emergency" is created by yourself by not reading the prerequisites displayed before the installation actually starts.

There is no need for a video (Fucked up and full of mistakes) from wherever it comes from.

- Uninstall Wampserver

- Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
Do not use a previously loaded tool. Make a new download to make sure you are using the correct version.
To download missing packages, do not rely on Microsoft links, they are not reliable, download packages on http://wampserver.aviatechno.net in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

- Apply points 03 and 08 of TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

- Install Wampserver 3.1.7 as an administrator.
And, as it explained on the download sites :
It may be that at the first launch not all services are started (Icon not green), Left-click Wampmanager icon then Restart the services.
