New version of WAMPserver v3.1.4 installs MySQL on port 3306 and MariaDB on 3307. But in MariaDB submenu, there is a test for port 3306 instead of port 3307.

We do assume you have a little common sense!

If you look closer, there is also a menu below the one you mention called "Test mariaDB Port used: 3307"

As it is possible, with some knowledge, to put mariaDB on any port you like, for example you dont want to use MySQL so you place mariaDB onto 3306 these numbers will follow what you have actually done.

Hi,

There is also a Tools item that invert default SGDB
MariaDB port 3306 with MySQL port 3308
MySQL port 3306 with MariaDB port 3307
