Hey everyone, brand new here and loving it! Just got wordpress installed but I'm stumped on something. Im trying to have wordpress access a folder outside my wamp install on a network drive. Can someone point me in the direction I need? Do I need to setup a virtual host? How do I get a website to access files and folders outside my wamp install?

Hi,

Sorry but this is not really a WAMPServer issue.

I would always suggest that wordpress sites are intalled into a Virtual Host, they are much more predictable that way.
First create the VH and then install WordPress into the VH

To access folder outside the normal DocumentRoot for a site, you need to create an Alias inside the VH definition, see the Apache manual for help with that.

(Windows 10 Pro 64bit) (Wampserver 3.3.4 64bit) Aestan Tray Menu 3.2.5.4
<Apache versions MULTIPE> <PHP versions MULTIPLE> <MySQL Versions MULTIPLE>
<MariaDB versions MULTIPLE> <phpMyAdmin versions MULTIPLE> <MySQL Workbench 8.0.23>

Read The Manuals Apache -- MySQL -- PHP -- phpMyAdmin
Get your Apache/MySQL/mariaDB/PHP ADDONs here from the WAMPServer alternate Repo
