Markdown for formatting WampServer forum posts?

I have seen a few posts on this forum with nice formatting, but I have not seen a style guide or cheatsheet anywhere detailing what type of formatting is allowed on here. Here are two examples of nicely formatted posts:

Where can these formatting rules be found?

Hi,

> Where can these formatting rules be found?
Nowhere.
Nevertheless, the text layout possibilities are part of what is called BBcode, i.e. open and close tags, to replace html tags.
These are pairs [ x]text[ /x]. There must be no space in these tags; there are some here, precisely so that they are not interpreted as tags.
- text in bold [ b]text in bold[ /b]
- text in italic [ i]text in bold[ /i]
- text underlined [ u]text underlined[ /u]
- text in color [ color=red]text in color[ /color]
- [ img]complete url to image[ /img]
- Wampserver file [ url=http://wampserver.aviatechno.net]Wampserver file[ /url]
-
