When you login as guest. Your apache service, mySQL service they are probably running as guest. If the dont have access to system files (guest account) they will not run. You can run it by going to apache bin and running as administrator.

Hi, thanx for that.

Can you explain how?

The Apache Bin only contains 5 files:

'dbmanage.pl', 'htdigest.exe', 'htpasswd.exe', 'logresolve.exe', 'rotatelog.exe'

??

WAMPAPACHE look for that in the services. What you want to do is have it log on as an administrator or power user. Start > Admin Tools> Services

Did you install WAMP as an admin right? Other wise your instllation may not be correct.

WAMP was installed from an account with admin powers (im assuming thats what you mean by power user).

Ive changed the Service settings to log on as myself on the power user account. However even after this change theres no difference. I start up WAMP on the guest account and it wont start... stays in the red reading 'None of 2 services running'.

Is there anything else i can do to get it to start?

A lot of time I couldnt get around with power user. Did you log in as guest and then go to the services and then "LOG ON THIS ACCOUNT power user account startup type = autmatic " Did you do this?

No. I couldnt access Services from the Guest account. I logged in as the Power User and changed it in services to log on This account 'Power User' and 'password'

Is it only the start up type in supposed to change? Its currently set to manual... im guess you want me to change this to automatic? Is that correct?

when you install wamp under your admin account, it only will show or display when you are logged in as admin.
