WAMP running slowly

Hi all,

I am a new user to WAMP. Just installed it, and I have everything working well. However, I'm a little surprised at the rendering speed on my local machine. It takes 3+ seconds to load some simple pages (ie. wamp hosted phpbb default load page for ex)

It seems to me this is a little slow for a local hosting+browsing response. Are there any settings I should be aware of that would improve performance?

Apart from the performance issue, I really like WAMP so far. Neat little local dev package.

Cheers,
Tom Duterme

Are you using a slow computer?

Do you have many spyware and antivirus programs running at the same time?

Wamp is nothing but a program that monitors apache daemon and mysqld. If your computer is running slow blame apache for it. I will say go to httpd.conf and reduce log file size and many other things . This will make the server run faster. Remember Wampserver is just another monitoring program like Saint WAMP, etc.
