WampServer

Default wampserver3.1.3 installation is installing PHP 5.6/7.0/7.1/7.2 & MySQL as well as MariaDB both. Later on we have to make some tweaking for PHP & DBMS selection & PORT etc which is a time consuming job. Is there anyway to install PHP 5.6 & MariaDB only with passing parameter with cmd line installation?

Hi,

- Switching from MySQL to MariaDB by default takes three seconds:
Right-Click wampmanager tray icon -> Tools -> Invert default DBMS MySQL <-> MariaDB

- Suppress the use of MySQL takes three seconds
Right-Click wampmanager tray icon -> Wamp settings -> Allow MySQL (to uncheck it)

- Choose PHP 5.6 for web takes two seconds
Left-Click wampmanager tray icon -> PHP -> Version -> 5.6.xx

Eight seconds in total, which we will round up to ten; this is not what we can call "time consuming job".
Once that's done, there's no coming back.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am aware whatever method is told me to follow for the desired result. Actually I am looking for some command line switch to make things done. No doubt it requires 10 sec time but forget is also a human tendency. If command line switch is given we can write a BAT file which will make installation perfect & easier.

There is no command line to do that.
