Wamp server icon disappeared from taskbar

I've been using wamp server for a while now, until today. I tried to start wamp services and noticed that the icon disappeared. I've spent sometime now trying to find a solution for this since I know my wamp is working but cant find the icon to start wamp server services. I already checked the taskbar setting "Aestan Tray menu" which is on but still it wont appear.

How can I make it appear again?

Hi,

Have you looked in the hidden icons window of the notification area?
Click the vertical chevron to the left of the notification area:

then drag and drop Wampmanager icon in the tray:

Hello,

I'm facing the same problem, only the icon does not appear in the hidden icons.
I know my wamp server is working because I can access my localhost via the browser, but I can't find the wamp icon anywhere.

Thanks

Hi,

Did you launch Wampserver with a double-click on its desktop shortcut?

Is this 'http:/localhost/' page the home page of Wampserver?

Hi,

I did double click it. I saw the icon appear for a sec and than disappear.

And I do mean the homepage of Wampserver.

Yeah, I've been noticing the same thing the past few days. At least on my Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop. Not a problem on my desktop. Both systems are running Windows 10 build 17692. Reboots and WAMP restart don't seem to help. And WAMP is definitely running.

Do you see the User Account Control dialog with the Yes/No buttons?

Interesting. The past few days I didn't see the WAMP icon in the hidden icons on the task bar. This morning it showed up. Guess it healed itself because I didn't do a restart or anything else that would cause it to come back. Not that I'm complaining.

I found this after looking / eliminating all alternates. Run the wampmanager.exe through task scheduler as at startup.

After restarting the server / desktop, go to task manager and select the "Aestan Tray menu" which is nothing but wampmanager.exe
Right click and select the properties window. As shown in the screen, click on the "Run Compatibility Troubleshooter". Follow the screen and based on your OS, it would show the compatible OS.
Select the OS and presto, the icon appears on the tray.

Best of luck.

That didn't solve my problem. I'm using windows 10.
But at least @Sriram solution gave me an idea to solve my own
Go to taskmanager and right click on the "Aestan Tray Menu"
Click on "End task" to close the program (This will not stop apache or any other wampserver modules from running or terminate any of those processes. It just terminates the tray icon/program)
Then relaunch the program by clicking on the wampserver icon.

Best Regards
