Did you install Wampserver before or after checking that all VC++ packages were installed with the tool Checks VC++ packages installed

It may be that if you were not "up to date" with the redistributable packages before installing WampServer, it has not been properly installed and that even this update does not resolve your problem. We must therefore uninstall Wampserver and verify that services wampmysqld, wampapache and wampmariadb (wampmysqld64, wampmyapache64 and wampmariadb64 for Wampserver 64 bit) no longer exist - if necessary remove them.

Then restart Windows then install Wampserver 3.1.3 as an administrator.

I definitely followed the recommendations and only installed WAMP after checking with the tool Checks VC++ package that all VC++ packages were installed correctly.

So where do I go from here to get around the stopped httpd.exe?

I cannot manually start that AFD service so how do I go about troubleshooting that problem?

So I researched how to remove IIS, then uninstalled and re-installed Wamp server and the icon is now Green!
