WampServer

Hi guys, I'm in a swamp and I can not get out of it,
Cause days ago I had the brilliant idea of eliminating Wamp 2.5 (because there was a warning that said to update because the Mysql that used by 2018 would be abandoned) and I installed Wamp 3.1.0.
I've never done it, one of the two services does not start and remains the orange icon instead of green.
The wampmysqld64 service does not start. I tried in every way.
In Windows services (7 to 64bit) the wampmysqld64 service starts it but stops immediately.
I uninstalled Skype, I don't have IIS, I tried to change the port from mysql (3306, 3307, 3308,3309) and I reinstalled all Visual C ++ (VC9 VC10 VC11 VC13 VC14 and VC15).
What can I do more?

Look in the MySQL Error log, and in theWindows Event Viewer for messages from MYSQL.

OK, so please tell us how did you do the install of WAMPServer 3.

A step by step description please, as it looks like you may have just copied bits of V2.5 over the top of V3.

Also did you read this post before doing the re-install [forum.wampserver.com]

It would be good to know where you differed from this process

Before proceeding I uninstalled wamp 2.5
Then I installed Visual C ++ (VC9), (VC10), (VC11), (VC13), (VC14), (VC15) in the x86 and x64 versions (as administrator).
But I can redo everything (I uninstall Wamp, reinstall the libraries and then install wamp 3.1.0)
I'm not sure if with the removal of wamp 2.5 it also deleted the folder (but I do not think it's important).
Before proceeding I uninstalled Skype and I checked that IIS was missing on my PC.
The default installation of Wampserver 3.1.0 installed the program in c: \ wamp64, by default installing MYSQL 5.7.19, PHP 5.6.31 and APACHE 2.4.27.
Then I checked with Checks VC ++ packages and says that all the pachages are installed correctly.
I do not know what to do, I start all over again? (I remove Wamp, install libraries, etc.)?

So you are not trying to recover any databases/websites?

It sounds like you forgot to run the install "As an Administrator"
There are some stpes in the install that require Admin privilages, one being the building of the MySQL and mariaDB systems.


I suggest you uninstall the current install andthen manually make sure you have removed the C:\wamp64 folder

The reinstall but remembering to do it As an Administrator

No, I'm not trying to recover database or website.
I'm doing everything on the pc locally. before removing wamp 2.5 I saved the www folder and all the site databases of the www folder (all the sql file).
After installing wamp 3 I would like to restore the local sites and the databases, but I still do not do so because phpmyadmin does not start (mysqli_real_connect (): (HY000 / 2002): The connection can not be established Persistent refusal of the target computer.)
Now I will try to remove wamp and the wamp64 folder and then reinstall as Administrator
