mywamp.ini file missing

Hi,

I just installed WAMP5 with the MySQL 4 add-on. Once I had everything set up, I set up a Dev site in Dreamweaver 8 and was able to set up a new database etc. So, everyting was working.

I changed the password for MySQL from "no password" to a real password. Then I got the 1251 erro: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

So, I checked out the FAQ on WAMP and said to add "old_passwords" to the end of the mywamp.ini file.

Problem is, I don't have a mywamp.ini file in the windows directory. Nor is it listed in the WAMP menu under "Config Files." I did notice it there after I did the initial install. But, it seems to have dissappeared after I added the MySQL 4 add-on.

Does anyone know where it went or how to replace it?

Thanks,

Bryan

adding old_passwords to a my.ini file will not work. search this forum for setting mysql root password using the console.
