Just installed WAMP64 and WP 4.9.2. - all works well except one thing: when working with building web page there is no dashboard in WP and no link shows where I might load it or turn it on.

So get rid of your current WP.
Create a Virtual Host
Install your WP into the folder pointed to by your new VH
