Wamp 1.6.1 Apache won't install

I was very happy using Wamp about a year ago, then returned, found Apache would not run. Explored, found new version, got it, installed it. Services 1 of 2. Apache offers only Install or remore, not start, restart or stop. On choosing Install I get message: "Aestan Tray Menu. (red cross) Could not execute menu item (internal error) [Exception] Could not execute run action: The system cannot find the file specified {OK}"
Running on Win2K, Skype is present but closing it does no good, Zonealarm, McAfee.

Any thought? Please.
Thanks - aaladas

if you are using windwos 2k0, it comes with IIS, which uses the same port 80 as apache. if you have IIS running, apache will not start because IIS is using that port. make sure IIS is not running when using apache. Also, skype also uses port 80, so skype can not be runnign or it will cause apache to not work.
