Hi all,

I installed WAMPserver a few weeks ago and was happy it seemed to be working okay. I have created some php webpages and can view them fine on my machine and when I type in localhost in my machine I see the server configuration page.

My wamp Icon turns green after a while and all seems well. However, I have been unable to run any sql commands from my command prompt. I did some googling on this and what I seemed to notice is that the menu box which I open when I left click the Wamp icon in my system tray has a different set of menu items than what I seem to be seeing on the internet examples.

My options are; About, Refresh, Help, Language>, Wamp Settings>, Tools>, exit

Have I installed a lite version or something? Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

As you have TWO buttons on your mouse, I would try a LEFT CLICK on the WampServer icon, just to see what happens !!!

Hi,

I would add that if the left mouse button can open a MySQL console, the right button can open a command window on the bin folder of the MySQL version used.

Note: always use the latest versions and in this case update 3.1.1
