Can't switch from MySQL 5.7 to 5.6?

Hi,

I need MySQL 5.6 and I've installed addon without problem. When I switch and go in PHPmyadmin it still shows 5.7. When I rename 5.7 I get an error from PHPMyadim that its can't connect. It completely ignores 5.6
No error in MySQL log?

Here are the screenshots [imgur.com]

TIA

Restart all services, if that doesn't work then exit the application and then open it back up

Thanks for the replies!

I did restart all services, F5, cleared cookies, exited entire WAMP and rebooted Windows still same issue.
What I did found is that [localhost] shows correct chosen version but not in PHPmyadmin?

Hi,

I do not understand. I do not know where the problem may be.

Install PhpMyAdmin 4.7.5 whose installer you will find here: [wampserver.aviatechno.net]

Hi,

What is the result of:

Right-Click Wampmanager tray icon -> Tools -> Check Compiler VC, compatibility...

And no video or image to give the result, I want text.
You have the option to type y then Enter to get the whole result in the clipboard. Just paste here by Ctrl-V.

Hi,

> MySQL Ver 5.6.37 for Win64 on x86_64 (MySQL Community Server (GPL))

If you use Wampserver addons, you can not install a 64-bit version on a 32-bit Wampserver.
The localhost page gives the version numbers seen from the folders, for example wamp / bin / mysl / mysql5.6.37 / while the tool you used gives the version numbers of the executable httpd.exe, mysqld. exe or php.exe.

I am really sorry and I apologize.
I just checked, the mistake is my fault. I compiled the MySQL 5.6.37 32 bit installer with mysql 5.6.37 64 bit executables.
I will correct tomorrow. In the meantime, I delete the version 5.6.37 at fault.

For you, go back to version 5.7.19 then delete version 5.6.37 by:
Right Click -> Tools -> Delete Unused Versions
