I suspect restarting my PC is an issue - I just did it - only 10 minutes after changing to Apache 2.4.28 and when it loaded I got the error messages again about the problem files. I'm now back on .27 again

Check out the logs and history of your Anti-Virus.
I suspect it of quarantining these files.

Hi, In the scan report, almost every entry is McAfee blocking my pc accessing various TCP Ports. In the Firewall section - it doesn't go into detail but says it has block 499 connections in the last 7 days. I can't find anything about those problem files specifically though.

Do you think it might be the firewall of the whole antivirus? I'm happy to try another one if you know of one that doesn't conflict with Wamp?

Hi,

It may be Anti-Virus.

There must be an "exceptions" setting in your anti-virus, in which you can put file names and even folders that should not be checked.
You can put the Wampserver folder C:\wamp64\

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that I deleted McAfee Live Safe, after I couldn't find a way to change it's settings in regard to Wamp Server. It's been a week now and everything is working well with a different anti virus.
