WampServer

Dear Guru,

We are facing a serious performance issue of wampserver 2.5 when migrating the windows 2003 to windows 2012 server.The application is using a separate installed mysql, not the one within wampserver. However, during the peak hours, the application is suffering slow performance on wampserver, we have checked the mysql server and the sqls and settings which are confirmed good. Are there any special parameters which should be set when using windows 2012 ? Thanks in advance!

We have migrated back to the old windows 2003 server, and it runs fine. Is there any sepecial tricks when using windows 2012 ?

Hi

There are no special tricks.

But you will have to make sure that you have ALL the MSVC Runtimes installed. See Troubleshooting tips specifically point 20 but do read the whole document.

If Windows Server 2012 is 64 bit, you will need BOTH the 32bit and 64bit MSVC runtimes installed.

It's missing!

- Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
And you will find all the packages on [wampserver.aviatechno.net] in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

Hi Octomatic,

We have run the check_vcredist.exe to verify our VC++ packages, all the packages have been installed. However, the performance issue still exists, any other clues ?
