httpd.exe - Bad Image

I recently have an issue when I start WAMP 64, when I click on the icon on the taskbar to start the apache and all services, it goes to a message httpd.exe - Bad Image. the Message in the body D:\WAMP\bin\apache2.4.23\bin\libapr-1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

My System is Windows 10. It also has an error code of 0xc0000020.

Can't seem to fix this error. I have uninstalled WAMP, cleaned out the folder, removed the folder and reinstalled. It would work for awhile but then this message appears.

Does Any one know what is going on? Any Help on this would be appreciated.

Hi,

- Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
And you will find all the packages on [wampserver.aviatechno.net] in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

- Apply Update 3.0.9 to your version of Wampserver
Wampserver update 3.0.9

Hi,

Thanks for that. I have a number of libraries that were not installed. But the same error results for httpd.exe - Bad image. Still not corrected.

I did to a check of the libraries and it says there all installed or listed the one's installed with nothing to be installed.

Is there anything else you could suggest?

Hi,

Since you did not have all the VC ++ libraries present when you installed Wampserver, you should uninstall Wampserver and then reinstall it - as an administrator - of course, backing up your local sites and databases beforehand.

This is explained in point 20 of the TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS just before 20-b
