Starting Over Fresh

Is there a way to clear the database from phpMyAdmin. I am learning how to use this as I go along. I made a mistake by “creating” a database, when what I really wanted to do was import one. I cleared away everything else, but phpMyAdmin still shows the database. I want a fresh start without a database name prejudicing the program.

Is it possible to change the database name back to its default?

Yes, I remember. It has been a long time since I used MySQL. I forgot the term I wanted to use was to drop the database. Thank you.
