Hello, friends!

I was using my website yesterday and i've noticed that suddenly i couldn't access it anymore. So i've restarted my PC and after that, everytime i've executed Wampserver, none of services were starting. The icon is RED, even if i put Wampserver online. Has this happened with anyone before? How did you solve this problem?

I'm sorry if there's a similar thread about this, but since i'm still not sure what's happening, i'm posting here. If you guys need further information, let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Sounds odd. Could it be explained by you installing something else that uses ports 80 and 3306?

Anyway to give us a better clue, can you answer these question please.

Hello, RiggsFolly!

Sorry for the long delay in answering, but i'm having some problems on this computer which the Website is hosted (i use it remotely). So once i solve these problems i'll try what you've told. But i haven't installed anything on it for the last 2 months.

But i've never saw this. The icon never went red or anything, it's like it's not working at all.

Hi

It could be many things but it might be as simple as something has unregistered the Apache and MySQL services.

Check the Apache services `wampapache` or `wampapache64` is still registered
Check the Apache services `wampmysqld` or `wampmysqld64` is still registered

If they are not then do this to re-register them

left click the wampmanager icon and do

- wampmanager->Apache-> Service Administration -> Install Service
- wampmanager->MySQL -> Service Administration -> Install Service

Hi,

I found the solution that worked for me

I edited the httpd.conf (Apache) and changed the listen to just "Listen localhost:80"

In the my.ini (MySQL) I added under [mysqld] this "bind-address= localhost"

That made the 2 services start again

UPDATE: Seems to make the apache or MySQL very slow...

Regards,
Yves

UPDATE: Since my solution was not a good solution, I reinstalled and kept looking for the problem

@DjWelitu: Do you use Bullguard as a Firewall?

if yes there latest version has a new Firewall Engine, being a layer over the Windows Firewall.

When I added httpd.exe and mysqld.exe to the allowed programs of Windows Firewall, Wamp worked again no changes to the original installation
