Very, very bad procedure to install Wordpress.
You must absolutely use a VirtualHost to install Wordpress.

You should not use 'http://localhost/mysite/', but only 'http://mysite/', so create a VirtualHost like any other hosters.

Something is wrong with your program! I use Wamp localy for developing
I made a clean win 10 for a local installation. Downloaded Wamp and rightclicked for admin level Got a program fault 0xc0000142 but windows anyway installed Wamp with a green Icon anyway..
Now You say that I shall make a directory for my site direclty like 'http://mysite/

If this is right You should proclaim this better in your installationinfo.
Anyway...Why do I get a faultmessage when I instal WAMP on a Clean Win10. The virtuel sub menu is marked already from beginning?? .

Something is wrong with your instructions.

If I do as you say Place my site anywhere but not http//www/ sitename Then I cant use your virtual help..
..
You really have to clear this out..

Did you read the dialog's that you are shown as part of the install?

If not, then have a look at this document WAMPServer 3 All you need to know

specifically the section near the top entitled "Before running the install, you must read these prerequisites:" this information was also provided in the install!!!!!!

I have made a clean install of Win10 only with all updates.
And a install of wamp after your recomendations.

Still I get this error cod oxc0000142 for httpd:exe
Here is what I tried in troubleshootings menu:


- 01 No Its a new one I have made a clean win10 installation


- 02 Of course as an Administrator

Wampserver at the root No spaces or diacritical characters.

- Do you have Skype installed or running? I had but took it away For test I chyanged ports to 8080 and 3307
I havent foound a way to change ports for Skype in the new version even if you use manuel import.


- 04 - My Wampserver icon becomes GREEN although I get the wrong cod message oxc0000142 httpd.exe
Then when I opens my projects they are very slow and they dont find my wp-admin and its clear that something is not correct.

- 05 - Checked with the Services Manager: There is one more service started - DNS cache - but with an Okey. Apache and MySQL services okey too


- 06 - No have checked No more php.ini


- 07 - No Are there other "my.ini" files on my system.


- 08 - Do you have IIS installed? No

- 09 -Hostfilen corect no # before 127.0.0.1 only once and no others
for ::1 localhost I made # when I am not sure

Note: 09-1 : The hostfile took the changes Cant see that the firewall adds special protection to the file.

Note: 09-2 : Support of Ipv6 Have made Ping for both recieved and without loss

- 20 -have installed the latest versions of all "package" Microsoft Visual C++ in right order Made a check too

Its seems I am the owner of host file and changes are registred

13 –I have made a clean install of Wamp There the Virtual submenu are marked with a path to local hosts Before my cleaning up the computer I had 3 virtual hosts at 127.0.0.1 just now I haven’t made the Database for my wordpressite: I will as soon we have cleared this problem out.
I have not installed Wordpress yet.
I have talked to Microsft and they say it has to be a problem in Wamp not win10. But I am not the right judge.

Right,

As noted in the forst Dialog you see in the install.
Did you install ALL the MSVC C/C++ Runtimes BEFORE installing WAMPServer.

Windows 10 does NOT get instaled with all the Older MSVC Runtime Installs. You have to install them manually.

This will only update WAMPServers internal code and NOT affect Apache/MySQL/PHP

After upgrading to 3.08 no problems
I am not saticfied to have had so much trouble in this question

Questions are answered more easily when they are well asked to start with.

Please also remember that you have paid the SUM TOTAL of Bugger All for WAMPServer
and the EXTRA FEE of ABSOLUTELY BUGGER ALL for all the support and all the support you may need in the future.

You just installed a Web Server, A Database Server, and a New Language.
Congratulations, that means you are now expected to be a:-

- Network Administrator
- Web Server Adminstrator
- Database Administrator
- Developer
- Analyst
- Business Analyst.
- etc etc

All of these roles are normally takes by at least one person per area. These people are expected to know what they are doing before they start.

WAMPServer is primarily a LEARNING TOOL, so people can attempt to become one or all of these things.

Unfortunately WAMPServer comes out of the box and in 99.9% of cases, just works.

However the skills to use it properly are not so easily acquired, and do not just come to you OUT OF THE BOX
