I installed Wampserver on my pc. Then mysql says "mysqld.exe - Entry Point Not Found." The procedure entrypoint TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

Any fix?

And then if you are using WAMPServer3 also read WAMPServer 3 All you need to know

When you ask a question, please ensure you start your question with the answers to ALL these 13 questions.

1 - Windows version used (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit) Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
2 - Version WampServer (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit) 3.0.6 64-bit
3 - Apache Version = 2.4.23
4 - PHP Version = 5.6.25
5 - MySQL Version = 5.7.14
6 - What color is the WampServer icon (in the notification area of the taskbar) = ORANGE

When all goes well it should be green, but it may be red or orange.

If the WampServer icon is NOT GREEN please ensure you have looked at these files :-
a - Apache error log
-- ( wampmanager -> Apache -> Apache error log )
[pastebin.com]
-- ( wampmanager -> Apache -> Apache access log )
[pastebin.com]
b - MySQL error log ( wampmanager -> MySQL -> MySQL log )
Don't find location
c - PHP error log ( wampmanager -> PHP -> PHP error log )
[pastebin.com]
Depending on the error, one or all of the above may be empty so also look at
d - The windows event viewer
--- Windows Key + R to launch the run dialog then enter eventvwr.exe and press the OK button
--- - On the left side of the windows click 'Windows Logs -> Applications'
--- - Look for the names 'Apache Service' or 'MySQL' in the Source column which have a error symbol in the first column.
Theres no errors.
If you find any errors that you cannot fix for yourself please post the COMPLETE EXACT error message in your question.

7 - In the file c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, what are the active lines with the name [localhost] in them?
* Active means no # at the beginning of the line.

If the WampServer icon is green:

8 - Do you have access to localhost (Homepage WampServer)?
8a - If so, is there an error message at the bottom of the page?
Yes theres no error message
9 - Do you have access to phpMyAdmin?
Yes
10 - If you refer to an error message, please include the EXACT wording of the error in your post
11 - If you use an Antivirus and / or Firewall, please include the names of these

Hi,

Mysql 5.7.x is not supported by Windows Vista : MySQL Supported platforms

Install MySQL 5.6.36 64 bit addon. You can dowload addon at [wampserver.aviatechno.net]

After install of MySQL 5.6.36, launch Wampserver then :
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Stop service
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Remove service
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Version -> 5.6.36
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Install service
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Start service

Also, update Wampserver to 3.0.8. Update is available on the same site.

Hi,

> t won't let me uninstall mysql 5.7.14
There is no need to uninstall MySQL 5.7.14.

After updating to 3.0.8 and install of MySQL 5.6.36 64 bit addon

- Exit Wampserver
Open a command window as an administrator (Administrator must be in the windows title) then type :
sc delete wampmysqld64
- With Notepad++ or another good text editor (Not notepad.exe) open the file wamp64/wampmanager.conf and under section [mysql]
replace
mysqlVersion = "5.7.14"
by
mysqlVersion = "5.6.36"

Save the modified file.
Launch Wampserver, as there is no mysql service, icon will be not green.
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Install service
-Left-Click Wampmanager icon -> MySQL -> Service -> Start service

When doing the command line I get: "[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:
The Specified service does not exist as an installed service.

If its this part to edit:

Apache 2.4.23 - PHP 5.6.25
MySQL 5.7.14
;MariaDB 10.1.19
PHP 5.6.25 for CLI (Command-Line Interface)

It auto resets to 5.7.14 after changing to 5.6.36 when launching Wampserver

I think I found the part:

[mysqlVersion]
;WAMPMYSQLVERSIONSTART
Type: item; Caption: "5.6.36"; Action: multi; Actions:switchMysql5.6.36
Type: item; Caption: "5.7.14"; Action: multi; Actions:switchMysql5.7.14; Glyph: 13
[switchMysql5.6.36]
Action: service; Service: wampmysqld64; ServiceAction: stop; Flags: ignoreerrors waituntilterminated
Action: run; FileName: "c:/wamp64/bin/mysql/mysql5.7.14/bin/mysqld.exe"; Parameters: "--remove wampmysqld64"; ShowCmd: hidden; Flags: ignoreerrors waituntilterminated
Action: closeservices;
Action: run; FileName: "c:/wamp64/bin/php/php5.6.25/php-win.exe";Parameters: "switchMysqlVersion.php 5.6.36";WorkingDir: "c:/wamp64/scripts"; Flags: waituntilterminated

Action: resetservices;
Action: readconfig;

I tried deleteing the "Type: item; Caption: "5.7.14"; Action: multi; Actions:switchMysql5.7.14; Glyph: 13" part after starting up again it resets and sets that line back.
I tried edit that line but replaced with 5.6.36 still resets to 5.7.14
I tried edit the: "Action: run; FileName: "c:/wamp64/bin/mysql/mysql5.7.14/bin/mysqld.exe"; Parameters: "--remove wampmysqld64"; ShowCmd: hidden; Flags: ignoreerrors waituntilterminated"
By replacing 5.7.14 with 5.6.36 still resets to 5.7.14

Hi,

> The Specified service does not exist as an installed service.
We do not care. Continue exactly as I wrote previously.

Continue to edit the wampmanager.ini file and you will not get anything!
The file is rewritten completely every time wampserver is started.

As previously written it is the wampmanager.conf file that you MUST modify before starting Wampserver.

But another question can I use wamp instead of xamp for this one? [forum.ragezone.com]
