Can someone tell me how I may be able to fix this problem with WAMP. Evertime I upload a file to the root directory I have to physically restart the apache server or the changes made would not be showed. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?

This is weird, when you put html and php files in the root folder, they should be accessible immediately, without having to restart apache. What files are you trying to access? where are you putting those files?

hi there,

I've got the same problem with ChiliSoft ASP. But i can't imagine how i could installed ASP wrong. Because it's just a MSI packet. You locate the HTTP.conf file and it will install.

P.s. One Webserver I configured completely by myself. also with php & chilisoft asp, and there are no ploblems with restarting APACHE.

And I think te ploblem lies in the taskbar program of the WAMP Utility tool. because, when i go to CMD.exe en start apache with the command line, it doesn't give me an error.

Maybe it's just a bug in the WAMP Utility program.
