Hi,

Please READ (and answer) BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION

And, after answering all the questions above, one last:
Do you have access to the MySQL console?
- Left-Click Wampmanager tray icon -> MySQL -> MySQL Console
On request "Enter password:" type the password you assigned to root, if you did not put one, just press the Enter key, you must get a window like this:
Enter password: ******

Hi

Please also check your MYSQL Error Log

- left click wampmanager->MYSQL->MySQL Log

And go to the bottom of the file and look for error messages. If there are any, and the error is not obvious, post a representative few of them from the LAST MySQL Startup attemp

Hi

Your HOSTS file shoudl look like this

127.0.0.1 localhost

::1 localhost

I guess you can leave the mcafee line in there, but I assume this is to stop reporting home to mcafee because its a ripped off version. Maybe this is part of your problem.

Did you allow Apache access through your firewall when it first started and the firewall ask you if you wanted to allow this access?

Then you will have to read up on your firewall and how to use it.
